INTRODUCTION TO PEPPER MONEY

Hi. I’m Rob Barnard, Director of Sales at Pepper Money.

At Pepper, we specialise in helping you to place your interesting cases that don’t fit the high street.

We recognise that, for many customers, credit scores don’t tell the whole story. So, we review each case on its own merits and our lending decisions are made by a team of skilled and mandated underwriters.

We call these cases “interesting” because there is usually a story that explains the customer’s individual circumstances. No two customers or stories are the same, but they are always interesting.

Interesting cases are on the rise. In fact, we would go as far to say they are the new normal.

Our research has found that nearly half of broker cases feature at least one characteristic that makes it less likely to pass a credit score.

This could include adverse credit, a young credit history, self-employment, multiple jobs or complex incomes.

At Pepper, we can lend in all of these circumstances and our criteria certainly makes it easier for you to place your interesting cases.

We can consider customers with CCJs or defaults registered as recently as seven months ago, we only require one year’s finalised accounts or SA302 from the self-employed and we don’t impose LTV restrictions for debt consolidation or first-time buyers.

We offer Residential and Buy to Let mortgages, with options for interest only, and we have a strong approach to affordability.

In short, if it’s an interesting case, we’re interested.
