Clare Jarvis joined Pepper Money in April 2018 in a new role - Head of National Accounts. After just a few months in the role, we caught up with Clare.
What is your role at Pepper?
I’m responsible for driving our national accounts strategy, working with networks, clubs and specialist distribution partners to help brokers to place more of their interesting cases with Pepper.
What surprises you about your role?
There is still a perception amongst some brokers that the specialist market is not an area they deal with – people often think that it’s more specialist than it actually is.
But the reality is that every broker will work with clients who are self-employed, contractors or would fail a credit score.
We're there for any case that just falls out of the high street, right through to customers with more recent credit issues.

What is your top tip for brokers?
Don’t turn cases away.
If you have an interesting case and don’t know where to turn, pick up the phone and speak to one of our experienced Regional Development Managers. They all have Telephone BDMs as support and also access to underwriters.
